It’s less than a week to go until the Chancellor, George Osborne, releases his budget for next year. With lots of attention on pressure on ambulances and A&E services, now is a prime opportunity to let him know how important general practice is to the future of the NHS. If general practice is properly funded, the stresses on other services will be reduced.
It’s great timing: we’ve been backed up by Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee who have warned that underinvestment has led to a “looming crisis” in general practice must be addressed.
Join your voice to the campaign and send this letter to George Osborne. Please edit it to let him know why general practice is so important to you. It will make your argument stronger.
